"I think" he meant the snow deflector on the blade.

The Snow Deflector comes standard with the Kubota/Curtis plow.

We had about 20" last night (see attachment) and it was a struggle using the RTV900 today. I think this amount of snow is just a little too much for it to handle with ease. On several occasions the plow would ride up over the snow and then the RTV900 would loose traction when too much snow got underneath. I had to resort to using the chains. I also had a problem with the cab windows icing over - just too much for the heater to keep up with. Of course it was only about 7F.

I had the same problem with the heater on mine. What I did was to close the 2 lower ducts and divert all the hot ait to the top defroster and aim it towards the windshield. BTW- I broke one of the 'teeth' that locks the plow at the angle you set it at. Snapped it right off.. We had about 16" and I had to lock the diff and leave it in 4wd but it worked great.

flyingn,

I did have both of the lower vents closed but I still needed to scrape ice off the inside of the windows except directly where the defroster was pointing. I have a fan as well but that didn't seem to help that much. Once the outside temperature climbed up to about 15F things got a little better plus I opened the windows up a crack to help get some of the moisture out of the cab. The worst window was the rear. Everytime I turned to back up my breath would ice the window over. Then there's the metal screen covering it up so I couldn't scrape the ice off. I may end up removing the screen so I can clean the rear window better. I don't carry any large, heavy loads in the bed so I don't believe I really need the screen.

You must have really hit something hard to snap a tooth off. I've hit a couple of things hard with the plow but so far, no damage. I wonder if your warranty will cover this? Could have been a manufacturer's defect.
