I am considering the idea of a fel on my tractor and am curious what it looks like with everything attached to it and where everything hooks up at...Does anyone have a picture that they could post..I searched and found some nice post of fel information but I didn't catch any pictures..I have some threaded bolt holes on the side of my tractor so I figure thats probably where it mounts too...Thanks Bob

There are a ton of pics of tractors with loaders, unless you are talking specifically about a YM226, not very likely.

I took 5 seconds to bring up Google and another 5 seconds to find this site with what appears to have pictures of a Y226 with a loader.

Well thanks gatorboy you must be the Google God! 5 seconds Eh? must have high speed internet. I wasn't thinking global when I said searching for pictures, I was only searching through the forums, My Bad. Anyone here on the forums that has this particular tractor with a fel care to advise on how well the operate for instance how well can you see the bucket and the angle in which it is turned when trying to work it? I used a small kobota this last weekend and I had trouble determining the angle of the scoop, I am used to a skid steer. Thanks Bob

Skid steers are easier! I sometimes have to stand up to see the angle. It takes more time with tractor fel then with skid steer.

It's not really a picture of a 226D. It is really a 1610D which is very, very close to a 226D. Why a 1610 on a 226 page? It's a long story.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I did use that loader plenty though. You can not see the front edge of the bucket from the seat. It takes some seat time to be able to judge where the edge is. You can get very good at it but, as has already been said, a skid steer is much easier to use... just not so good at mowing, etc. Overall the loader is a very useful tool on that sized tractor.

I was just going to ask you about that in a private message, Aaron. The engine and HP just did not fit a 226, but I thought , hey, Aaron and the guys at Hoye should know that.

Thanks, And also, when you purchase a fel for the 226d do you have to make any modifications to the tractor hydralics or does everything come with it. I have read several posts about fel loaders and the 3 point and hydraulic pressures but this is so new to me that I dont get half of which is being said, that is why pictures woulds help. Thanks again, Bob
