.See it like the 4000 ten tractors had with push button 4WD and not the standed lever.they did not have the switch in production yet so I had to cut the wires to fit so I had 4WD.I used my standed cruise control switch.I now have the 4WD switch in and it work great.I will post somepicture of where the lever should be and the 4Wd switch.They quit making it after 2 months of being in production dew to not engaging the 4WD but I have have no trouble with it and when I had it at my John Deere dealer they wanted to take it out and put in the standed lever.I think NOT I told them because that is one reason I like it.I will post some pictures

OK - so yours IS a special case then. It is confusing to readers - especially new tractor researchers that are researching a 3x20 purchase. They think there is this new feature - auto 4WD. They go to the dealer and ask for it - the dealer then scratches their head, gets frustrated trying to find it, fails, and then bashes the online community knowlege base. This really confuses the new tractor buyers even more. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well at least we have an answer kinda. I was not doubting your setup (I have never used your tractor) but it sure looked/sounded odd to me.
