Was this in the form of a kit or purchased plans? I have been looking for a building (pole barn) to house an RV (later use) but for now a tractor and attachments.

Gee Steve that is nice.

Did you do it yourself. Is the big barn yours also?

Mate you'd fit lots of tractors in there if you didn't have all those pesky horses /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Or is that what the big barn is for /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Cheers

It was a "kit" from Carter Lumber in Lancaster, PA. Not really a kit, just a stock plan and list of materials put together by someone who knows something about pole barns. The kit was just for the shell of the building with one entry door and two double sliders. We added the windows (cheapies from HD) and finished the inside with SYP.

If I told you I'd have to kill you! Let's just say there was some after-plumbing involved.

That big barn used to house 87,000 chickens producing about 40,000 eggs per day. I bought the property 2 years ago and had the unpleasant job of removing all the chicken cages and equipment. We were thinking of converting the barn to a indoor riding arena, but we're still trying to figure out whether it's going to be worth it. The old egg processing barn (attached to front) is nice for storing hay/shaving because it has a loading dock in the old cooler area. I plan on cleaning out the other half for my workshop. We'll probably re-side the attached building soon as the siding is very faded and the roof is thin aluminum.
