Pictures of toolbox for Grand L

Made a shelf and mounted toolbox on L3240, thought I would share some pictures. I was going to mount a metal 16" toolbox with lid instead, but liked this idea better. What do you guys think?

Look's good! Is the base wood or is that one big chunk of steel. Need more description on how you put this togesther!

While looking at you pictures I noticed that you onle have 1 pin in you ROP instesd of both! ????????????

Is the wood that runs up and down the ROPS wiht the plastic ties there to keep the 'shelf' from twisting?

Did you tractor have the tool box behind the seat and underneath where this tool box is mounted?

The base is 3/4" plywood I painted. It is a temporary setup to see how I like it, then I would like to make one up out of steel. I actually don't have either of the pins in I was getting ready to put the canopy down to put the tractor back in the garage. The base is just held to the cross member of the Rops with 2 U-bolts. It's 13" deep and about 30" wide. Any more questions please ask.

I like it also... Been thinking of getting some thing on my L3240.. Do you have trouble seeing behind you hooking up to equp???

I have a L3540 and my ROP does not have a cross bar there. Mine:tractor: did come with a tool box below and forward of where you mounted your's

The two pieces of wood running vertically are so the canopy does not push the toolbox when it is down.My tractor does have the factory toolbox behind the seat that still can be accessed by flipping seat forward, but I have never found that box very usefull. I do however have to modify it slightly to use cupholder.

That was a big reason I went this route, so I could easily remove the bag, just unhook two clips and tool bag is off. It hasn't been on long, but first impressions are visibility is acceptable. We'll see

If you are looking for ideas, here is what I did last summer on my L3130. The tool box drops right in and stays put very well. I have very hilly and bumpy land, and it doesn't budge. But you can lift it out any time you want.
