Hi Larry,
I assume the idea with the quick tach plate is that you just mount the whole thing on your FEL and drive it where you want it! That is a cool idea. Is your quick tach an ATI skid-steer quick tach?? Can you buy these plates? It sounds like you are making yours. Do you have any specs for it? I've got an ATI quick tach and having a few of those plates to mount on things sounds like a great idea.

I don't have any specs I just put the steel over the plates on the front of my loader and tack welded them in place there. You can also order plates off of ebay.

My father used to talk about a screen the local road crew built after the 55 flood when the town needed tons of gravel to rebuild the roads. It was shaped like a tent, pointed at the top and sloping on both sides with cross members across the bottom that would span the bed of a dump truck. Had a hook on top so it could be lifted onto the truck by their gas shovel that they used for loading at the pit. I have been thinking of building a smaller version to fit my trailer.
