This was the largest single storm with this rig - 33 inches fell mostly overnight last year. Under the snow was a layer of ice from previous storms. My setup is a 20 hp Jinma with a homemade bucket mounted plow (which started out as a plow for another application). I had the tractor battery charging all night, an oil pan heater, and a 240 VAC heater blowing up into the engine compartment. It was going to start easily that day no matter what. She fired right up and we marched out ready and raring to go. Stuck it in low, dropped the blade and pushed snow like there was no tomorrow... for about 20 feet, then she stop and spun the chained tires. No amount of differential braking was going to help. So I was stopped, and looking around with blinking eyes, and wondering what the "heck" I was going to do next. That is when my daughter snapped this picture from a second floor window. After some pause I lifted the bucket/plow up three feet and move forward a foot, backed up and took another bite, repeat until one blade's width was done on the bottom and level part of the driveway. After that came the up hill section. It took awhile.
