Pm me a little more info. I am still in the halfaz mode about even if I want to do this. It hit 70f yesterday and supposed to get close to that today. I am also not looking for anything to use this year, just thinking about next winter.

I can sell you my truck but it's no NC truck, it's an Ohio truck that pushed a lot of snow, my next truck I was gonna head south to buy, a rust free truck.

It's already had the cab changed out once. Manual trans, 4x4 but tires are like new, I will be going threw it this spring, it's got a hole in a break line and some of the lights don't work, small stuff. I have to haul about 20 tons of gravel with it and I'm done with it.

In Canada Walco is the Trygg distributor. You buy the tire chains at any farm tractor dealer.

Walco buys the material in bulk and makes up the chain ordered for a specific tire size.

Likely the same in USA. Keeping stock on the many sizes and types available is not practical.

Holy crap lol, lot of pennies in that picture. I'm jelly

Yeah I'm the Salesman's new best friend! They took pretty good care of us and the prices were reasonable. The 4052 was purchased in the spring and the 4066 was a last minute decision this fall based on the sale of my Massey, and both blowers were new this fall.

Got the wife and I new tractors and blowers this year, so far getting too much use out of them!

Do you run chains or just the turf tires?

Are the blowers hydraulic powered? PTO pump?

Nice setup.

My snow weapon. It is only 3 "major" snowstorms old (this year), but seems to work well. The Trygg fasttrack chains seem unstoppable even with my icy hills. I'm new here but been lurking and learning for 2 years. Thanks to everyone for all the help!

Great tractor and blower set up! I notice the little wheels on the back of the blower, are they factory? Are you running a steel scraper or Tivar blade? Tell me about the wheels!

Thanks,

Kevin

Thanks! We just run straight turfs. Used to run R4s but like most guys had a lot of traction problems, the turf tires have definitely improved on that. The blowers are run on PTO, there is a set of gearboxes on the back and a shaft up to the front.

I've pretty much guaranteed we won't have any accumulation of frozen precipitation for the rest of the season. Got a set of 4 link ladders from TireChain.com in yesterday & put them on the 3038e today. No modifications were needed, they seemed to fit pretty good. Probably don't need the tensioners I ordered with the chains, but put them on anyway. It was in the 60's & all the last snowfall is pretty much gone (makes putting chains on much less an ordeal than 10 degrees & a high wind).

Nick

Nick you handle the snow scare up your way and I'll keep Wake and Johnston county scared with my chains. Ordered same chains for my 650's turfs and they arrived last week but haven't even unboxed them yet. Hard to think about needing them with temps in the 50s and 60s.

My tractor has been sitting in the barn due to all the rain and mud, it's stupid muddy out right now, my cattle are tearing the F out of there pasture, I'm pissed, be better with frozen ground, now I have to seed and straw 1/4 to 1/2 an acre of pasture this spring.

That was last weekend, I have to give the cattle another round bale this weekend, it will be as bad or worse this time. I cut in my yard getting the round bale 8 inches, 12 inches back in the pasture.

Makes me really ponder the idea of a larger gravel drive, I have my bales stacked on the side of my building, thought about graveling it.
