Yeah, first snowfall of the season. Really sucked though, it was that wet, dense stuff. Ground is nowhere near frozen!

I suspect it’ll be Xmas before get enough to plow and the unfrozen Ground I will skim with the front plow and to clean up tilt the box scraper so the front cutting edge is off the ground by an inch or more until the ground freezes. I’m shortening a hydraulic cyl. to make a top link that will help out with the tilting.

That should work great!

We're supposed to get a cold snap Wednesday (down to -14 overnight), you guys will probably feel that too. Hopefully that tightens things up for the next blast. (Getting up to 5c here Tuesday though lol). Going to take a bit of getting used to these winters in the maritimes.

Had to break out the equipment today for the first time this season. I use a Landpride 1596 FEL plow on the front of my Kubota L6060. I have an old Frizori ag spreader on the 3pt for spreading ash. I replaced the 540 PTO shaft with a hydraulic motor to control the spread pattern. For the deep stuff, I break out the Woods SS74 blower.



Works well for clearing 1.25 miles of private road and several driveways.
