Not sure of what picture you are referring to cause this pic is of the neighbours driveway

I don't plow often to keep up.. usually just once. Last couple storms were over a 24 hour period and up to 14" of snow total.. plowed when Mrs. needed to get out for her quilting and shopping trips. But maintain 1/4 mile of drive and road so do it in 1/5 of the time a snowblower would take.. and essentially no cleanup of equipment as is necessary for a snowblower..

And I love to plow snow.. ;)

Not sure what you mean by cleaning equipment. The snow melts off the blower when parked in the sun. At least the undercarriage of the tractor is not built up with snow like it would be on plow tractor that drive back and forth over the snow banks.

Beautiful place you have there. Reminds me I have a lot of trees to plant in the next year or two.

Thank You - built it myself. 145 acres on two lakes in the middle of nowhere. I know the snow is deep because the moose are now dragging there bellies in the snow. Spring can come anytime.....lol!!

No snow on the undercarriage of my plow.. couple snowball size stuck here and there, but that's it.
And match it against any snowblower after blowing snow.. for cleanup.
But it is no biggy, we each are happy with what we have or else we would be getting something different.. :D

The which is better argument is kind of a moot argument. There's so many factors that can tip the scales. Weather, terrain, time constraints versus enjoying the seat time plus age/physical limitations of the user. With the snow some of you get I would want both. This year so far for me, the plow on my truck is plenty and my tractor is a backup and is enjoyable when sunny with no wind. I do have a 42" blower that I put a big motor on so I could attach it to the bucket of my little tractor but it has not been needed. A few years ago I would have used it a few times to beat back the piles of snow.

First trial run for my set back SSQA plow. I tried pushing back the banks left by my one ton and 9' straight Fisher. on our long road. The road is a ribbon of ice under the snow and with the truck I can't push back or cut the banks very well because I lose steering traction especially on inside curves. The tractor and 7.5 foot plow in 2WD was able to push way harder than the 4WD truck with ballast and rear chains. I am really happy with the way it held it's course.

I got the old plow for a song but found out it had a bad (immovable) cylinder so I ran it today with just one cylinder on the bank side.
