Apparently we are lacking snow everywhere.. first winter in a long time that I've not put the snow plow on my Christmas. One year about 25 years ago, Christmas came with 25-30 below zero (not windchill deg's) and 25mph winds. This year, predicted to be calm winds and 50 deg. in WI.

Thus, not much snow weapons in action.

I've worked snow twice this year. The times they are a changing.

Global warming at work like it or not. I’m in Ohio and haven’t even thought about the snow plow yet. It won't be a white Christmas this year for sure.

Here on the south shore of da BIG lake Superior we have received something over 100" so far, but this 80% lake snow. So we have a nice base but we warmed up the past few days. This photo was taken a few days ago, before the warm up. :(

OK, here is my weapon of choice. Have taken it out 5 times this year and cleared 2-4" snowfalls with ice underneath. I took the 5 outings to tweak my tires. I have a Normand 74" hybrid blower on the rear, 850# of ballast on the front, R4s that I grooved and siped and just filled the rears with RimGuard. Haven't tried the rig with RimGuard yet, but I can now drag the full 1100# weight of the blower up a 7 degree icy asphalt drive in 2WD.

No snow removal here, clear and mild with rain forecast for Friday; but it has been great conditions to get to the woodpile to cut and split wood that usually is frozen and buried beneath a couple of feet of snow.

I've plowed twice, little C.S. snows. But I'm with you, taking advantage of being able to still work normally in the woods on firewood.
I know it's coming but I'm not complaining, I've been slacking on firewood for 20/21.

Maybe I'm odd. I'm usually done with firewood by early May. As soon as snow melts away, we clean up broken branches, fall what trees need to be taken, saw/split everything and pile up to dry out all summer long. A few days in the fall for stacking, and on to bigger/better things.

I usually have my wood done by mid summer but I am working on next years stash now due to good working weather
