Without a cab, getting through snow that way doesn't look like fun at all, even if it is the rage.

I've found that by blowing the snow just a little more than horizontal keeps the wind from blowing the snow back at me. I know a cab would be nicer but I just don't have the cash for it.

Speaking of cabs there is a manufacturer in Ontario. I've seen one of their cabs and while they aren't like a factory cab I thought it wasn't a bad cab. Sims sold by Tractor Cabs and Cab Enclosures Sims Cab Depot Prices are in Canadian $ and right now with a 20% + exchange rate you Americans would get a descent deal. $7000 CAD is still a lot of money for a cab though.

The tractor looks good pushing snow. Are the rear wheels from another model?

Thanks! No, the hubs just haven't been repainted yet. I bought the tractor in November & don't have room to paint it (& the blue blade) inside, so I'll have to wait for the weather to warm up to finish it.

I love launching it high and far!! I just pay attention to the wind and thankfully it's very consistent at our house. You have to concentrate more vs the plow, especially with obstacles, but it's much more fun and efficient. I would like a cab one day, but it's tough to justify for us. I also like bringing the tractor in the garage at night and keeping her toasty warm so no cold starts.

Had to fire up the beast today since my Kubota 4240 has been delayed once again. It does move the snow.

Here's a picture of my monster. Put about 4 hours on it this winter doing snow. The BXpanded PTB is nice for getting through ice down to pavement. I run the loader in float and feather the bucket curl as it needs adjusted so I don't pull up too much gravel. Anything that I scoop I try to pile in the same place where it's easy to recover the gravel when the snow melts.

So far rear traction hasn't been a problem, but it seems the front tires don't do too much when I'm running the loader in float and pushing snow. Essentially, the tractor drives straight unless it finds a groove. If I drive slowly the tires seem to actually turn the machine with the loader down.

The tractor showed up a couple days before Thanksgiving 2014 with 100 hours on it from a Craigslist private party. I put about 3 hours on it getting the gravel in shape before winter plus another couple hours working on moving junk and cleaning up some fence line at my parents' house.

I really need to get a rear blade for it. I think that would be a little bit more gentle in some areas.

I would love a bucket expander on mine, but I just picked up a back blade a couple days ago. I have a traction problem now, steering is problematic like you said, but now it's like throwing on a parking brake when that blade digs into dirt! I have chains on order, and should be here Friday. Just in time for more snow this weekend, and extra traction for me to clear a path around the barn to the animal pen.

Also, I have a piece of 4" PVC over the cutting edge of the loader, and that's pretty gentle on the lawn, etc. Especially once frozen.

It's a kit sold by polaris that I bought with the bike. Mounting brackets on all 4 corners have to be installed first, then the tracks are bolted on the wheel hubs. Each corner has a limiting rod that keeps them from rotating too far. The front also have limiting cables for steering.
