Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

I am in Montreal area (Quebec,Can) and know a fellow that contracts in suburbia .
He runs 20-30 tractors and my daughter helps with his book keeping.
Rates are generally in the $300 per season with a bit more for a double wide.
He uses that kind of pull blower and blade arrangement. Each drive is mere min or 3 to do but then the properties are all like 60 X 200 feet all being side by side.
Many of the tractors are leased just for the winter with farmers leasing for the summer.
The service generally calls for 2 outings per storm and 3 in bigger events and all to be done before 7:00 so that commuters can leave for work.
They usually assign close to 100 drives per tractor and they probably get 20 events per season.
Yes, he does quite well.

Parking lot and mall guys use extendable plows that extend in width from 8 ft to 12 or so with 3 ft wings to contain the pushed snow.
Those blades run $7000 and up.

Yea I think I'll just build my own blade then for a snowblower.

My buddy and possible plowing partner next year was talking about that when I helped him motify brackets for his plow. We were talking about just building a back blade instead of buying. The prices are down but he is very low on money. I told him to get the stuff. I got a pump and controller and I'll help with the welding during the summer. Just some good ol boys running low on money. About like everyone else

I had my setup on a TN75 (New Holland). Worked well. Was a bit cold being an open platform tractor. So, I upgraded to a cab and really enjoy it. Check out some videos for reference....

It hasn't been a very snowy winter...a few good events with 12-20" of snow...and it tackled with ease!
Great seeing how everyone moves the snow!

Yes, rears are loaded with beet juice. This year I also chained the front tires (after photos were taken) for better steering control. It's not a necessity, I plowed 5 seasons without chained fronts but it sure does make steering a whole lot easier with the plow angled.
