Well the "3 to 6 inch forecast" you saw was certainly wrong! More than 10" so far here I think. Some good seat time.

Not really, we got in that range. The line I saw was somewhere above Manchester, I'm near Nashua. Above listed the 6" to 12". Different sites had that line at different places. Our snow turned to a mix so it's probably sludge right now. I still have to go home and plow.

I didn't measure it with a ruler but I'd say we got about 9" here in SW VT.

Did see some larger flakes a couple times, and we got a few minutes of sleet, both of which indicate there was some warmer air up there. But it didn't get above 20 degrees or so, and the snow was fairly normal/dry.

i took off the chains and touch up painted the plow and blower. i left the hydraulic pack on just in case the whether pattern changes, but since its 45 today....i dont see that happening. snow is nearly all gone. it was a light snow year to say the least.

It isn't even Valentine's Day and you are already saying winter is done in your area???

Morning all;
This last storm dropped right at 10-11 inches here, I didn't plow yesterday so out at 5 this morning to get enough plowed that the wife could get out to work. Finished my place about 9:30 and headed up the driveway and looked over and saw a neighbors truck sitting where it didn't belong so turned around and went over there, truck stuck and in trying tp get out ended up over the bank and his little tractor gelled up on him so pulled the truck out and roughed out his driveway, now time for a couple of more cups of coffee.

yup. its 53 here today...sunny. snow is disappearing like crazy. ground is muddy and thawed, so even if it snowed i couldnt plow it without totally destroying my driveway and pathways. the tractor chains were damaging my gravel roads. i figure that even if it does snow, it will melt off in a few days. the 10 day forecast shows no rain, highs in the 40-50 range. but i left the hydraulic pump and hoses on just incase.

must be the shifting earth poles and global warming....

Growing up in the Dakota's the worst blizzards we got were in late March or April as it got warm enough to bring significant amounts of moisture in.

We got a "2 footer" over night on Easter Sunday in I believe 2012 (maybe it was '13, don't recall exactly). That was fun. Everyone thought winter was done. Surprise!

This year I'd welcome a few 2 footers. We're going to be hosed come summer brush fire season.
