I know this has been discussed before but can't seem to find the post. I need to hold the MMM up while using the 3 pt hitch. I see where two pins go on the front of the MMM to hold it up but shouldn't there be two places in the rear of the MMM also? The kubota is a B2410.
Thanks

There is no need to pin the mower up. Raise the mower deck to it's highest position, then set the height adjustment knob to the TOP position. The mower will then stay at the top position while you use the 3 point hitch.

Are you sure?
Seems to me if you hit the lift the deck will lower.... I never have pinned my deck, it's 10 minuntes to drop one and put it back on.

I have a B7500, it maybe different than the BX, there's an knob to adjust the drop speed on the 3pt hitch but I didn't thing there's a knob to keep a MMM at the highest position.

Very interesting.

Hi Rodney,

I have a B2910, which is similar to your tractor. I have the 72" MMM and to hold it up while you use the 3PH, you need to pin it up. The pins on the front sides will hold the deck up while you use the 3PH. Mine were a real pain to install/uninstall until I adapted a pair of gate latches to do the job. Now it takes just a couple of seconds a side to pin it up. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If you use the locking knob in front of your seat to lock the deck up, you will also lock up the 3PH. The deck uses the 3PH to raise and lower the deck by laying the linkage on the 3PH arms.

The B series tractors do not have a mower height adjustment knob like the BX series do. The B tractors use ground contact mowers and the BX series suspended deck mowers.
To answer the first question--NO--there are not any pin up points on the rear of the deck--just the two front ones. Sometimes I --ususally--have to lift the rh side slightly and pin it and then the LH--same thing. It is kinda a pain working in behind the FEL mount. Once you pin the front two holes be sure to lift the rear center double wheels up to their highest--retracted position to increase ground clearence. Generally for other than light work--I remove my MMM. Anyways, the rear of the MMM will move up and down slightly with the 3-point lever but not much. It works just fine /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Yeah, I do wish it had the BX suspended deck with TOP detent and suspended deck /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. J

Thanks to all, just thought I was missing something. I will pin up the front, looks quite easy! I don't have a front end loader so there are no brackets to get in the way. I would like to get a loader maybe next year. I have one on a larger tractor but sometimes smaller is more convenient.
