A little off topic, but I've always enjoyed the comparison.

When the sap of the 'pine" tree is processed and refined, one ends up with Turpentine. Nasty stuff

When the spring sap of the Northern Maple is boiled and condensed, the result is maple syrup! Yumm Yumm!.

Oh diesel fuel cuts pine sap just fine! ;-)

Peanut butter works well too.

And it is "finger licken good" :D

I like the Go-Jo too, followed by a little liquid hand soap before I add water. I cut a lot of fir and my glasses are the hardest to clean. They get pretty spattered when I forget to put the face shield down. I use mineral spirits for them. Maybe oil like peanut butter would be easier ??

a good use for WD40 is to remove pitch from your hands or tools.

I'll have to try that. Would be more user friendly than diesel or turpentine. Thanks for the suggestion.

I hardly ever use gojo for grease anymore. Dish soap works just as good and is easier on your hands. The part washer works even better.
