Pioneer 1/4" Quick Connects

This past Tuesday my Frontier AV20H root grapple was delivered for my newly acquired Deere 3032E. Rather than paying the dealer the several hundred dollars (just the connectors for the grapple end was $85!!!) to run lines from the rear hydraulic kit to the grapple I decided that I should be able to source the hoses / connectors myself. I went to my local TSC to see if they had what would fit.

This is what I found for the rear:

Pioneer #VP8010-4P-DC (1/2 in. Connect Under Pressure Tip - 1/2 in. NPTF)

or???

Pioneer #VP8010-4P (1/2 in. Standard ISO Tip - 1/2 in. NPTF - Fits All Current Models - Poppet)

For the Front:

Not sure if these will work, but Pioneer #VP4000-2P (1/4 in. Single Acting Sleeve Set for Snowplows/Garden Tractors)

At the store the these are labeled as "1 way" - Is this 1 way flow??? Doesn't make sense that it would be. Would this work for my grapple. The Deere number is 5WS2505686 (SAE COUPLING 1/4" MALE 9/16"-18 ORB) and #5WS2505687 (SAE COUPLING 1/4" FEMALE 9/16"-18 ORB).

Do I try the VP4000-2P set???

Yep the VP 4000 2P will connect up to your grapple, they have 1/4" pipe threads.

Well... I got the hoses, adapters, and connectors. Cost $230:shocked: Hopefully I can get it all together tonight (8 yo, 3 yo, and an almost 2 yo may put a damper on that).

There is nothing about hydraulics thats cheap, except O-Rings and advice on TBN.

3 yo is perfect sized for fishing lines through under the operators station. Just tape the hose to their leg and put a bag of Oreos on the other side. If they can get their head and shoulders through the rest of them just wiggles right on by.
