This is beautiful country. Now, if I could just talk the "old lady" into a move that far North.

As the trails become busy, we'll then do them twice daily and the section I do is the most used in our area. We seen 100 sleds today (part of our job is to count them) So I do 17 or so miles out and then we turn around and come back but many of our other trails are loops. It takes about 6 hours to do the 34 miles. Our club groom's 230 or so miles with 5 trail bully's so I'm just a little gear in a large machine.

how often do you guys go groom and how long does it take?

How much fuel does the PB400 carry and how long can you stay out before needing to refuel?

We have an older machine with a smallish tank of about 55 gallons. We burn around 40 gallons in 6 hours. Bully moved the tanks on the new models so they have much more capacity that this old timer has.

Here are photos from the trail starting as soon as there was any light this morning. This is what we see most days. We don't see much sun here due to a certain little lake. We got snow, maybe 4ft on the ground in the higher country. Who can tell us why we are pushing snow along the trail at all times? I was training in a new fellow who took my photo.:)
Hope you like them...

Unfortunately it looks like some of the leaning trees will need to be cut. I speak from 15 years of experience

Our sled traffic is really going up and the lake snow is coming down, daily. We've got more than 2ft in our yard now. I'm off the trails for a few days and working on my 6x6 plow setup. I've got 2 other guys who help on this route so they're out daily while I'm off. (no one needs me anyway ) I just got word from my boss that the 1st ER needed accident has happened on our section. Our machine is expected to be struck by speeding sleds 5 times this winter. That's the normal rate.

Umm, I expect the sled rider doesn't do so well in that crash?

Do you operate at night?

Yes we do, but we're not seeing enough traffic to begin 2 shifts per day. Its not light here until 8am at this time of the year, so its perfectly dark when we start anyway. Is that night?
