Today it's 90 degrees which at just under 5000 feet is really hot. Mixed by hand just short of yard of concret. Me new 425 mixer is sitting, waiting to be used. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I told Chris when I was in Tazwell and discussing shipping why couldn't he just put the 422 in the corporate jet and kick the unit out on a touch and go. Well...I thought it was funny but not as funny as the 422, bucket, forks and mower winding out of the hills of Tazwell on my short bed GMC!! I know the feeling ..... I messed up the threads on the Robins's heads and there was a foot of snow outside and the neighbor was kind enough to clear the drive. Let's hope tomorrow is your lucky day...

Pivot arms arrived today and installed this afternoon. Everything working great and now back in operation.

Did they just repair it , or did they give you a new set?

They want about $250.00 for a new set plus pin for my 1445.

I am still trying to get that pin out of mine.

J.J. I'd consider paying them the $250, and then welding the old ones to some other random parts and advertize the result on E-Bay as modern sculpture. You'll come out way ahead. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Glad to hear that you are back in business!!!

Did you learn if your repair includes any improvement or design change to thwart recurrence???

Perhaps a larger diameter or stiffer pin, or reinforcement???

Or just a replacement, plus an admonition to be more careful???

My understanding is that the pin is different (not sure how) and the problem I had prior should not happen.
