Well, I was serious; thought I'd heard the Beverly Hillbillys (or was Hillbillies?) were supposed to have originally been from West Virginia (maybe just because I'm married to a West Virginia hillbilly). Anyway a very cursory look around the net finds they were from "Bug Tussel", "Cass County", some think in Tennessee, although the concensus may be Arkansas. Oh well, if you're a fan, like I was, try http://www.pcperspectives.com/hillbillies/hillbill.html.

Always heard lots of folks talk about using that stolen "drip gas" when I was a kid, but since my Dad bought a service station shortly after I turned 16 and I worked there every day, with an unending source of fuel for my old car, I never tried it./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Hillbilly,

These types of bias are great, because it keeps the narrow minded out of the really great parts of this country. We should all be greatfull for deliverance, etc.. This allows us to enjoy gods country without having to put up with all the undesirables.
I have had the good fortune to live and travel all over this country and you can't beat any part of Appalachia, particularly western VA and WVA.

Any way I think its interesting that a guy from ohio would make fun of WVA...........ever been to cleveland!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Yup I hate it everytime one of the old folks passes. You can learn so much from talking to them. I have a 96 year old galfriend who grew up in WV She milked 20 in her day. She pretty senile now, but I like to go over and let her ramble... One things for sure - we'll never bring em back. Gotta enjoy while they are here.
