Planting some trees Which type

How many are you talking about? Your local nursery probably would order just for you and have it shipped with their other stock orders. I have done this before. Your local Forsetry department may have trees available to order. Alabama does with orders in quantitys of 25.

If you want to start with small trees (one foot or so) you might look at www.musserforests.com. They have a variety of trees. Most are bareroot but some are in pots and I think the prices are good. I've had success with their trees (what the deer don't eat).

I also have had great success with ordering trees from Musser Forests. I've got a large stand of white pines that provides a great barrier between the house and the road. I've also got a really nice row of Norway Spruce. Both species have grown quickly.

It seems to make most sense to me to find out what grows best in your local area by contacting your local Master Gardner or County Ag Agent.
