Planting Sweet Corn

WVH looks good. Like you have a young person helping.

Hate to make these suggestion for do not want you to think anything wrong with your setup. But they help me keep the plants in line to cultivate. Not meant in any manner to say you need any help with that.

If you like a garden see if you are able to find an old ONE row tobacco setter. You bed the land and then use the setter to ride on very slow with at least one person dropping the seeds or plants which ever. Will keep them in line and you can use that implement to set out plants or drop any seed and cover all in one pass.

You may consider using a shank with a narrow sweep to make a narrow trench for the planter you have to help keep it straight on the bed.

kthompson,

No offense taken at all. There are always better and different ways to do something. I have been looking at those Covington single row planters for a while but I don't want to spend the money on it (yet). As I get older that will probably change. I am only dealing with a 3/4 acre garden so it is not that big of a deal. I usually get the rows pretty straight. Grandpa always said the crooked rows grow better. LOL

I appreciate the response and feedback.
