Here's a few pics of my Atlas Copco (purchased new in the late 1970's). The air from the compressor goes though an old transmission cooler and from there into a truck air brake system dryer before going into the storage tank. Moisture is ejected automatically at the end of each cycle through the white PVC pipe at the bottom of the pic.
The PVC pipe extends through the outside wall. The last photo shows the exit for the "sniffer". It's muffled slightly as it scares the crap out of you when it activates.
Works really well. Never any moisture to drain from tank.
