I have a similar situation with my 990. I just spent about 6 hours of tractor time moving 100 tons of dirt and rock into the floor of my pole barn. A lot of that time was spent feathering the clutch while I maneuvered the bucket within fractions of an inch of the poles.
I have had a number of these situations during the 225 hours that I've put on this tractor. So far the clutch still "feels" good. I try to avoid slipping the clutch as much as possible, but sometimes it just can't be helped.
