A fine looking unit - both the tractor and the operator /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have a friend looking seriously at KIOTI up here in Canada and I'll make sure he sees your thread.

On the safety front I noticed you were not wearing any visible hearing protection. An investment in your future ability to hear music, birds, grandkids etc.

I have a couple of "very hard of hearing" farmer neighbours who I am sure wish they had started using hearing protection earlier in their lives.

... and thus end todays sermon

Have fun - looks like you are well on your way

Nice buy,Sendero!
I see you chose the R4 tires too.
I'm up to 25 hours on my DK35 - isn't it a great little beast? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Box graded 2 acres of VA roots, rocks, and clay - took about 20 tractor hours (3 solid days of driving around and around...
The 4wd lever seems to be loosening up on my tractor - still a big job to switch in and out though.
Congrats! (Is it dirty yet?)

You are right about the hearing protection - I have a set of muffs designed for firearms noise that should do the trick, I just have to remember to wear them.

I already have noticable hearing loss so I'd like to keep what I have as long as possible...

Yeah I'm real happy with it. That 4wd lever is a nuisance, but I can deal with it. I don't switch in and out that often /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Even though I've only used it (4wd) maybe 5-8 times, it seemed to be getting easier already.

I got it nice and dirty (no way to bush hog without getting dust and crud everywhere) but nothing a good spraydown couldn't fix.

I'm gonna rub some car wax on the beast this weekend, wanna keep that halloween orange looking good /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I haven't followed your tractor "quest" lately, and I'm glad to see you found a tractor. The last time I heard, you were looking for used, but I think you will be happier with the new Kioti. They seem to be well made and are certainly a good value. If a Kioti dealer had been closer to me, I might have bought one. It also looks like you are making good progress on your property. Don't overdo it. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Stop ever once and awhile and go over to Catfish Haven on Hwy 377 about 7 miles north of Whitesboro. They have the best pies in N. Texas. It's kinda' like giving yourself a nice reward for a job well done. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

LOL - well we eat at Catfish Haven every now and then - it's about 5 miles from my place. I enjoy their food, but have to pass on the pie - for reasons medical science cannot explain, sugar just messes me up /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My wife is diabetic and she can eat all the sugar she wants (which isn't much) as long as she cranks up her insulin pump.

Doesn't seem fair /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sendero, how much that shed cost you? I just bought a TC35 and I have to put down the ROPS every time I use it to get it in the garage (I know spoiling to some of you but I prefer to see this as protecting my investment). I'm looking for an inexpensive solution (i'll know it when I see/hear it) so I don't end up taking out my overhead spotlight in front of the garage.

Well as I said I bought it second-hand. I paid $1800 and another $400 to have it moved (3 miles, but complicated by the fact I wanted it nestled in the trees) and blocked.

The seller told me he paid $5500 for it several years ago. The guy who moved it said I got a very good deal on it (he moves and sells such buildings for a living).

I would think one could build something like this pretty easily, I don't know where you'd get the metal siding, but I'm sure it is available.

I'm happy with it because even with the tractor inside there is room to get to my gardening tools and workbench. When I got it home, I scrubbed it clean inside and out, painted the floor and put in the bench and shelving. There is something about a shed/shop - its my own little space and I like it in there /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
