I don't even know anyone personally that has been infected. That said, my work has me covering about 12 counties and for that area, I deal with state and local employees regarding their retirement.
Two week ago, went to the health department in the neighboring county.... gals (most are nurses) walked back for their meeting with me WITH their masks on....saw I didn't have one and asked if they had to wear theirs??? (no)
Sighs of relief from ALL of them and they ripped them off immediately. Got to talking to one of them about the (over?) hype of the covid.... and interestingly, she agreed saying that she too thought it was way over-blown. Again, this is one of the gals at the county health department.
I thought that was interesting (however, I DID hear from them of people that THEY might have known that had it.... and (from them or another location I go to??) someone passed away. I think this guy was in law enforcement and he left behind maybe a 40 something bride/widow....
So I've heard of it, just not in my personal circle. Heck, my father is 92 and still going strong. I myself take immune suppressants and (according to my wife) am quite careless with my actions.... so far nothing but blanks.
