I have a BX23 with FEL and BH and the manual states that the 3pth is inoperable when the BH is attached. Because the 3pth is sandwiched in between the tractor and the backhoe, it is physically inoperable, but as far as I can see, the hydraulics should work as if the BH was not there. No BH, there is a closed loop from connecting the hoses together, with a BH, there is still a closed loop thru the Open centre BH spool valve. So what has changed?
Also, if I take off the BH, and use the rear tractor hoses to connect a double open centre spool with no PB (the outlet hose is connected to the tank), can I use the QDs from the spool the run the BH if the spool valve is held open as is done when running a wood splitter?
Any input is appreciated
Thanks
Oops, I see the 3pth is the last in line in the hydraulic circuit. In that case putting an inline spool with PB and hooking the BH up to one of the spools should work.
Comments?
