Norris (gotrocks) nailed it. They are called elephant ears and grow from a bulb that varies in size from about tennis ball to about football sized. In Japan they grow a very similar plant and harvest the bulbs to eat; kinda like we eat potatoes. These plants love wet soil. I don't think it's possible to overwater them. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
