Mitsubishi MT3201 4WD
Okay guys, I need your help. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'm looking at two grey market tractors: a Mitsubishi 3201D and a Yanmar 3110. Both are 4wd and 35 hp.

Here's my dilema.

*Will I have trouble getting parts for either machine?
*Will standard American tires fit on either unit or are the
rims off-size?
*Are ROPS available?
*Do American implements work with either brand? (in case
of reverse rotation of the PTO or odd PTO speed)

Right now, I have the cost of the MT3210D wtih loader and brush hog at $9400 (700 hours). The YM3110D comes with the loader and runs about $8500.

I would love to read your pros, cons, and opinions so please let them fly!!!

Thanks for your assisantance.

Does either tractor have power-steering? What brand loaders are on them?

Both have the Koyker 160 loader and power steering.

Both are good tractors, but I have more experience with Yanmars so I tend to lean that way. Both will hook up fine to regular category one three-point implements. The 3110 is a fairly common grey market machine. Most parts sources will be very familiar with it and have good sources for parts. The front tires will probably be 7-16, and they aren't a problem. The rears may be 12.4-26, and they can be tough to find. They last a long time though, so if they are in good shape, that shouldn't be a major concern. I don't know of any certified ROPS for either machine, although someone out there may be building them. Perhaps someone can comment on the Mitsu. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply Dave. The tires are 12.4x28 rear. Is that the standard?

Thanks again!

That sounds like a standard size. Both tractors are great but I think you'll get more tech support and ease of finding parts with the Yanmar.

I am surprised the Mitsubishi is higher than the Yanmar. Any time I buy tractors the Yanmars are always the higher priced.
The price alone would make me go with the Yanmar. I have seen much smaller Yanmars with loaders bring close to what you are quoting for the 3110.

While researching the two tractors out, here's some of the priceing I found:

Yanmar 3110D with FEL

*$11,895
*$9,900
*$7,200 (but I can't get shipping for this)

Mitsubishi 3201D

*$10,900
*$8,900 (the one I'm looking at minus the brush hog)

I found a few 30 hp listing as follows:

Yanmar 30 hp with FEL

*$11,131
*$10,495

Mitsubishi 30 hp with FEL

*$10,900
*$10,932

yanmars are said to be alot more parts and there has been alot more imported in?

i'd go with the yanmar. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif though i'm partial to orange

Those prices are more in line with what I have seen. I hope you can see the cheaper ones in person. You usually get what you pay for. Seldom more.
