Just bought a LT 2042 with 42" deck and double bagger about 3 to 4 weeks ago. Mine only has a two blade deck and is a 2005 model. I am pleased so far with mine. I have about 5 hours on it now. The deck should last a long time if properly cleaned and taken care of. I know its not a 10 gauge, but it is still a good product. I had a snapper lawn tractor and the deck was not as heavy gauged at the Cub. It lasted until I bought my cub, about 10 years or so. I couldn[t see paying alot more for 2 more horsepower and a 2" wider deck. The 18 hp Kohler with shaftdrive is a really great machine so far. I cut alot of grass, on slopes and level areas around a lake. I have not had a complaint with the 2042. Hope you choose the 2042 /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
