Please help, need opinion on Kubota L185

I have a chance to purchase a Kubota L185 tractor for $2600 Is this a good deal? The tractor is in fair to good condition with 1100 hours, but I don't trust hour meters. I'm not sure of the year, the guy said 1980. It runs good and everything seems to work. It also comes with a Woods belly mower, but it needs some repair. Thanks

Two years ago I purchased a L185DT, 4WD, R1 tires, 5' bushhog, and 5' scrape blade for $4500.00. Hour meter said 285 hrs but like you I did not trust it. This one was in great condition and had been serviced reg. It is one tough little tractor. That sounds like a great price. Is it 4WD, Turf Tires?

It's just 2wd. Lug type tires. Only comes with the belly mower.

If it is in good condition that is still a good price. Is the mower 60" and in good condition?
Are you only going to use it to mow? What other uses do you have planned?
Also do a search on Yahoo and Google for Kubota L185 and you should be able to find dealerships selling used tractors. I have seen several L185's listed with prices in the past. That will give you some idea and comparison.
