JD 3320
I am working on a deal where I trade in my 2007 JD 2320 with 120 hours on it. It has the 200x loader and a Frontier 48" field mower on it. I would upgrade to a 3320, with HST and filled tires, with a 5 foot field mower, 300x loader and a 375 backhoe.

The dealer is giving me $13,700 for mine on trade. Which leaves a net of just under $21k to me at 0%. This seems like a really good deal, but I'd love to hear some feedback.

Fire away!

The trade in seems really good to me. I think your total is reasonable also.

That is a VERY good amount for the trade, better sign those papers ASAP:thumbsup:

Oh, and get the CX loader-for the money difference it's a better choice.

What did you pay for your 2007 JD 2320/200X/48in RRC new? Then deduct from that $3000 to get a guesstimate of current dealer value.

What is the difference? Is there increased lifting capacity? I have never had a need to remove my current FEL so that's not a concern.

I paid $14,900 for the setup in 2007. I'm not a sucker for the trade in number as trade numbers are easy to manipulate. All I care about is the net price which seems to be really good.

Yes, the CX loader has greater lifting capacity than the X model. Why go for more HP and a larger tractor and short yourself on the loader...?

The trade-in price is 8.5% less than your original purchase price... that's very good!

However, your dealer appears to be working from MSRP based on the JD configurator ~ comes out right around $35,000.

That's NOT so good... For comparison's sake - let's say you could sell your current tractor for $11,000. (Would you take $11K for your tractor right now?) Well, the dealer is offering you $13,700: a difference of $2,700 dollars.

What's $2,700 off of the MSRP --- 7.7%. Basically, that's what your dealer is giving you off of the MSRP (list) price of the tractor package (that's assuming you could only get $11K selling your current tractor yourself).

There's some bargaining room there - IMO. If your dealer doesn't see it that way - I'd be strollin' for the door!

If I were dealing on a new tractor package - I'd want the HD bucket for the loader (300CX)and a 3rd rear SCV, too.

Best of luck.

That is a great link/info for X vs CX FEL comparison. Sort of says it all.

Google is amazing...the term "300x vs. 300cx" provided that and other links.
