I just picked up a 2 bottom plow for a great price and I think it is a Ferguson but I really don't know that much about them. It has coulters w/ grease fittings and a trailing wheel. Any help or tips would be more than welcome. Thanks..

Do a google and see what the Ferguson plows look like. There will be lots of images.

Still wiping egg after the last time made an attempt at identification!

It is a Ferguson. Some of the earlier ones had the 2 piece setup with moldboard and point (dont know of any parts availability for those) and the later models are the 3 piece setup with moldboard, point and shin. Pictured below is one with the 3 piece setup. Parts are plentiful for those. Ken Sweet

I think the frog on the front plow is bolted to the plow beam wrong. The beam should go inside the frog, not outside as pictured.

I agree with Sweet on this one -- Ferguson. I have one which looks identical except it is two bottom with coulters.

Easiest way to tell a Ferg from a Dearborn is the tail wheel "sweep cleaner". Dearborn sweeper went from front of the tail wheel back to the center, whereas the Ferg. goes from the back toward the front. ie. you have a Ferguson...BobG in VA

This one IS a two bottom w/ coulters and tailwheel. The coulters spin freely and the zerks still work to pump in the grease.

Don't know what you mean by the Frog .....

Frog, or saddle, is the piece of metal that the moldboard and point are bolted to. The bottom end of the beam is bolted to it. Back plow is correct, front plow should be as the back one.

That is a 2 piece setup and will work like a champ, however, When you need replacement parts, I know of no source. If any one out there has a parts source, please contact me. I have a waiting list of customers. Ken Sweet
