got to thinking about those snow pushers used in parking lots. Went to the garage last night and started tinkering. this is what i came up with.

Used it today and it worked great. Don't think I'll go back to the plow for quite some time. Works better than the LMB. Holds more snow and no need to curl the bucket to dump the snow. I have a lot of snow to clear.

How well did it work? Can you show some details of how you attached the wings to the plow? I assume that they are for straight plowing, not angled.

There is a brace welded on the back of the plow to give it strength. I just drilled some holes through the plywood and into the braces. It was pretty sturdy till I started plowing. The amount of snow was too much for the sides, so I ran a wire from the front of the plywood and fastened it to the center on the top of the blade. And yes it is just for straight plowing

And are you satisfied with how well it works?

very satisfied. Just need to put some braces to make it a little stronger. I may change to metal sides that slip on and off for easy removal for when i need the blade in warm weather.

We did that a lot on Fisher plows mounted on a PU around here.

I often simply used only one wing on the left side and always made my passes going to the right.
Attained the same results in wide areas (parking areas) but also allowed me to angle plow the snow off to the side on long narrow drived without needing to constantly install/remouve the side guards.
