Plow parts!

Anyone who's tried to re-hab a moldboard plow in recent years will tell you parts are getting harder and harder to pin down. Certain models are destined for the scrap pile because they're worn out and OEM parts just aren't there any longer. Agri-Supply, Valu-Bilt, TSC, ect can still get SOME parts for SOME plows, but not consistantly or timely.

Looks like we have a place to turn after all! They've got shares, shins, moldboards, landslides, coverboards, ect!

I also own a set of IH plows that are trailer type. I assume they are "Little Genius Plow", they are 2-14 bottoms. But this one is chain driven off the wheel instead of the newer type. My understanding from other forums they're very old and some what rare. I am in need of moldboards, shares, landslides and bolts as well. I haven't been able to locate any parts that resemble what I have. Is there any type of plows that could cross over to change these to something a little easier to find? As you can tell, I would like to be able to use them occasionally. Thanks for any help!

Pretty old thread to be reviving. Maybe a whole new post is needed here.

Anyway, plow parts are often manufactured but not available to a private party - online or not. My suggestion is to go to a tractor dealer. Deere, Case, IH, or whatever is in your area. They will be more likely to have access to what you need.

For example: I needed parts for a Ford 101 plow and the Deere dealer fixed me up perfectly. Finding the parts online was impossible.
