My driveway is paved and very steep. It has a slight side-to-side angle to shed water. I plow snow with a 6-foot rear blade and try to scrape the driveway as clean as possible. In order to scrape most of the snow off without the tips of the blade digging in, I had to frequently adjust the side link. Yesterday, I remembered that the blade has a tilt feature. I had never bothered to use it in 2+ years. I decided to try plowing while letting the blade tilt freely by removing the tilt pin. This really worked well and the blade is able to follow the asphalt contours more easily. I should also mention that the blade has skid shoes.

Brant necessity is the mother of invention. Glad it worked out well for you as that sounds like a simple solution to your problem. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
