Pocket knives.

I really like clip knives, they seem to be much easier to keep and not lose. I keep mine in my lower right Carhart pant pocket. So far my current knife only has come put of the pocket in the washer/dryer when I forgot to take it out. Cleaned up nice. :D

OMG! My wife would not be happy if that happened to me. She gets upset if I leave stuff in my pockets. Claims it’s not her job to check pockets before doing laundry.

I just say “sorry”.

Anyone ever remember leaving a crayon or permanent marker in their pocket and having their mom come looking for them?

There still are waterbeds out there? Oh man. :jump:

Ours is full wave!
Man overboard! Woo hoo!!

Seriously, my wife bought it when she still lived with her parents around 1982-3. So nice and warm in winter, and cool in summer. We keep it at 95 all year round. The cats like it too.

I hope the cats are de-clawed

Nope. But I kick them out of the room when I change the bedding, that's for sure. They've never punctured the mattress in 35 years. Kinda surprising. There's a mattress pad then the sheet, then the humans, then whatever we put on top of us per the season. We've only had one leak in that time.

It was Friday the 13th. We dropped off the kid (only had 1 at that time) at grandma's house and went to a really nice and expensive restaurant for dinner. I had venison, and as soon as I was done, got sick to my stomach. My wife had to drive us home. A couple blocks from grandma's house on the way to pick up the kid... DEER! WHAM! $1300 damage. Picked up the kid, went home. As I was staggering around my side of the bed with apparent food poisoning, SQUISH SQUISH SQUISH.... the carpet was soaked. The waterbed mattress had sprung a leak, and the liner failed. So I had to put a bucket under the corner where it was dripping, then drain the waterbed out the window with a hose, while fighting the urge to blow everything out both ends.

2nd best Friday the 13th I ever had.

1st best involved losing my job and watching a Corvette hit an airplane. ;)

Agreed. I am lucky. Plus, I don稚 even have to do any of the cooking!!!

MoKelly

Oh man. I also do all the cooking. :banghead:

But I do like to cook. :licking:

There must be a good story behind the combination of a corvette and an airplane.

Just in case anyone is interested - possibly the Rolex of pocketknives:

Rockstead knife

Very impressive. Do you have one, or more, of these knives? Looks like it's difficult to even get a price from that website. Wonder what the wait time is?

Probably longer than it would take me to lose it... which is why I stopped buying nice knives.

I had a Buck 110 pocket knife for many years back in the 60-70's & 80's and one day I broke the springy thing that holds the blade open. My wife and I where at the NRA convention when it was held in Philadelphia back in the 80's and we stopped at the Buck Knives booth. While there I pulled this knife out and asked the man if Buck could fix it for me as it had sentimental value. The representative said no to my request but handed me a new one in the box and said: My name is Chuck Buck and thanked me for being a customer of theirs. Still have it. Bob

Great story! Thanks for sharing.

Rule #9: Never go anywhere without a knife.

I fly frequently and I always check my bag, just so I can have a pocket knife with me at my destination. I've carried a knife since I was 10 or 12 (originally a swiss army knife).
