Banded water snake aka "Water Bandit". Non venomous but will strike a lot if cornered.
I like that answer. East bound freight. :laughing:Looking4new - Ha, ha. I sure don't think St Patty had anything to do with the snakes here. The local legend says the snakes will not cross the railroad tracks. The RR tracks are about 2 miles south and run true E-W. This is pure bull as far as I'm concerned. However - I've never seen a poisonous snake North of the tracks where my property is and the country is sure full of Western rattlers South of the tracks. Its a lot more likely that the snakes simply hop an East bound freight when they get to the tracks.
