So we are supposed to get negative 20 actual air temps as a low Wed Night/Thursday Morning. I will add Power Service Anti Gel (White bottle right?) and have some 911 on hand. I do not plan on starting the tractor Wed or Thursday.

By Friday we should be back up to 22 above zero. So life will be good again.

Anything else last minute to do? Tractor lives in an unheated barn. Barn also stores about 700 bales of hay so it remains "warm".

I don’t trust the stuff right from the pumps so always treat mine with an anti gel additive as well I use optilube XPD and have never had the need for the 911 bottle I keep on hand.

If you don't plan on trying to start it before the weather warms up, why do all the treatments?

Your water pipes are in greater danger than your tractor! Just wait until the weather heats up - and leave it alone!

My truck is diesel. It was -13 when I started it up this morning. No issues with the pump fuel

I’ve never had any trouble with gas station diesel jelling

It's always best to plan ahead and be prepared in the event of an emergency should the tractor be needed at any time.

To the O.P., I have never had a need to use 911, however I have heard from my neighbor that it really works well.

Have you ever tested your anti-freeze with a hydrometer?

Ya never know when an emergency might strike. Want to be prepared.

We are supposed to get 5 inches snow today. I値l clear the drive tonight. Then park the tractor and expect not to run it until Friday. But I want to be prepared.

We are supposed to have historic cold temps. A low of -20 actual air temp.

It's been colder than -20F several times here. 1984, 1985, 1994. Seems it's always the third week of January. In 1994 we had a cabin rented at Potato Creek and it hit -22 out there. We went ice fishing. It was nice. Caught a couple dozen 11" perch. But after an hour or so of sitting on an upside down bucket (no tent or shanty) my father-in-law couldn't take it anymore, so we left. I went out several times that week and had the place to myself.

I'd say the A'freeze would be a bigger concern than fuel. Things can bust that you might not know about right away.
