Dargo, we have a small utility vehicle section but it doesn't get a lot of traffic. For side-by-sides you will find a lot more info at Utilityoffroad.com that rogdan mentioned.

I live at 8000 ft and my '04 Ranger6x6 was set up by the dealer for high altitude as Unclebuck mentioned, but I then ride anywhere from 5000 to 11,000 with no problems.

The shed is just a truss type frame. It actually was built in 4 sections. The cabin was built on a farm and then we took it apart and hauled up north and put back together. If we ever want to move the cabin we can. The tin came off of an old barn and interior is a metal frame, then insulated. Again all built in 4 x 8 panels. So no kits but one can get creative to build.

I have had several Polaris ATV's and been impressed by all. They are absolutely the best out there. No problems as long as you keep up with routine maintenance. They will pull, pull, pull!! Climb more than I have the guts to hang on to and drive around those foriegn machines in the same mud bog they are stuck in!! My most recent purchase was the 800EFI (Highly recomended) with this unit I can move a full hay wagon. Just for fun the other day a friend and I pulled his crew cab long bed 4x4 Ford Powerstroke and it handled it effortlessly. The EFI is worth the extra money
Hope this helps

I just got back from a meeting where we received all of the new extended warranty costs for UV's and ATV's. All makes and models are under one catagory except the Polaris models. They are the only manufacturer that has a higher warranty cost than all of the others. Apparently there is something in all of the facts and figures of repairs nationwide that the actuaries don't like about the Polaris brand. Take from it what you will. I didn't make up the rates, nor did I segregate the Polaris models from all others. I'm just telling you the facts as presented.

You can tell folks these kinds of things and they JUST DO NOT LISTEN!!!!!! They still buy the junk!

How about if I just say that, statistically, a certain manufacturer's models have demonstrated a higher cost of ownership over the years. I think that is about as factual and accurate as possible. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I have a very worn 98 sportsman 500. My wife and I use it to check on our chicken barns and livestock about 5 times a day so it’s always ran cold. I should admit that its maintenance is always last on my list of things to do. The speedometer broke, the cam shaft wore out ($400 for a 4inch part), the rear breaks aren’t working, often times the one front hub will lock and not release until I put it in reverse, my joints are wearing out and there are about a 20 of them, and there is a rattle in the belt drive area.

On the other hand it is still running every day. For the farm the independent suspension is awesome. I can fly over those bumpy rocky pastures I have so I do like it.

I grew up riding Honda ATV’s and we never had any problems with them but we rode them very differently than the way I ride this sportsman. I also have a couple polaris 90 ATV’s for my kids. They have both been in the shop to many times. I have a couple really good polaris dealers nearby but when I finally wear out this sportsman I will really have to think if I want another polaris again.
