Yes, but easily remedied. Run a 2x6 between the posts just above the floor. Then you can put a couple more diagonal braces. To prevent the 2x6 from bending attach a 2x4 on edge along it. Cross section would be a T.
What I do is run a 2x between bottom 2 perlins and run a brace at 45 in middle of benches, for my barn with posts spread 8'. I don't load these supper heavy since you are putting a force agains the screws or nails holding perlins to poles. I got 2 work benches and a few shelves this way.
I like building benches and shelves, I have different styles. I have though abut running a 2x8 between post, not middle cross brace. Simialar to a header. I think you would really need to anchor the bracing to the poles. I went to construction lags a few years ago.
I also prefer 2x6s to 2x4s. Seems it is easier to find good ones in the pile.
I have some really beefy metal 45s, I keep wonder what to do do with. They were used with steel construction.
