I don't recall ever saying anything about how your building looks. LOL.

What I did say was that pole barns are about the cheapest construction method there is, which is a fact. Manufacturers like Morton and Cleary have made them as cheap as possible by going to things like 29 gauge sheet metal and laminated posts that use cheap water based treatment. Cheap sells more buildings. They are not using laminated posts because its' better or more durable, it's just cheaper.

50 year warranty on treated posts is worthless just like the 40 year warranty on sheet metal. 30+ years from now you are not going to get a dime out of that warranty no matter what happens. Like I said earlier you can buy fence posts in many different wood treatments. The cheapest treatment for posts is the water based junk which is the same thing used for the 2x6's used for those laminated poles. Better treatments like QNAP, Penta, and Creosote cost about twice as much and are much more durable. That is why they are used on things like railroad ties, bridge timbers, and telephone poles.
