I don’t necessarily think we need a political forum on TBN. Dedicated political forums tend to get contentious quickly and turn into endless-loop, personal insult-a-thons. We do not need that here, I agree.
I do think that things happen from time to time that affects all of us and bears civil spirited discussion. It makes a lot more sense than some of the flame wars going on over in the oil & fuel forums. An example of this is the Eminent Domain issue. Doesn’t matter what political affiliation you are when a developer convinces the local politicians to take your property from you and give it to him, does it? It’s the same when a tornado or hurricane blows your home away.
But I do believe that this community of tractor folks is a cut above the average and capable of carrying on civil discussions concerning the governance of our communities.
