NO we had not gotten that far, the water IN the pond was not filling it fast enough to keep it in the ground. We also had not gotten the side areas done, decorative blocks etc., sand, dirt, etc.

Now that I had to redig most of it, and with rain in buckets the last 2 days, it looks like it may be winter before I get the thing in the ground........at least the birds will have a skating rink then. I have figured out that I am not supposed to do this. If it ever drys up enough, I will get this completed and the excavation behind my barn done so that water actually flows where it is supposed to, and I can get some grass and ground covers going.

Ok, way to much water so after siphoning most of it out, I had to come up with an idea to get the rest of it out......here are the photos, NO LAUGHING AT THE ENGINEER OF THIS.....remember I have big cats as personal friends.

Now the only problem, after the water company assured me that I had NOT hit one of their old lines, is this "soft" spot beside the pond. The water company guy told me that when the ground water drys up, this will harden up and be fine...........about August! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

This time, if it comes out of the ground, we will have a sand box, not a pond. Now the wait for the ground to dry so I can put the landscape bricks and border down............and it is supposed to start raining again here on Sunday

Looking good. I remember when we had ours like that how aggravating it would be to get it all set up and look nice and then all of a sudden.......it was out of the ground. Are you going to use the little frog and spillway that came with it?

No frog, at least not spitting out the water, I get to build a waterfalls on the dirt behind the pond. I will be putting the tubing for it in the construction so as not to "see" it and make it more realistic................
