Any pics of your docks and info on how to build them? My pond has steep sides. I don't want to drain it to put supports in.

Thanks
Dave

Large blocks of styrafoam attached to the underside of the dock . Or if you are lucky enough to find some aluminum floats off of an old pontoon boat .

Put some posts in the ground on the land part of the pond , Rap a chain or cable around the posts & to the dock itself , You can even use an old tire to slip over the post & tie it to that & it will allow it to raise & lower with the depth of you pond on the part that rests on the water . works well if the water level can lower or raise in a short amount of time .

Kind of a redneck fix . But depending on the size of the dock & weight You want it to carry & what You want to spend . it will work . Hard to tell without pics of Where your planning on putting it .

Sorry no pics from here , I built mine on the river ( bad idea ) . water came up about 15 feet overnight with the spring rains & I havn,t seen mine since  .

I never said it was bullet proof . :D . Bob

Down here most people jet their poles down with an industrial air compressor, get a 10' piece of 3/4 or 1" galvanized pipe and turn the air on and keep jobbing it around the bottom of the post on the bottom of your pond and it will keep sinking, I dont know what kind of bottom your pond has but if it is solid rock this method probably wont work, hope this helps, good luck.

Have done the same with my pressure washer. Works better than air in clay. Be careful not to create a leak if your pond is just clay lined. MikeD74T

Last week I was in a Menard's Hardware Box Store and they carry some brand of floating docks. Two years ago we built a 16'x 16' with posts in the pond but had to get it done before the pond filled up, the pond was new.

Good Luck!!
