Is the dirt scoop how you are moving the dirt?

Have you looked into a dump trailer? Something that you can pull with the dozer and load with the excavator?

Digging is easy. Moving dirt is the challenge.

I put the dirt scoop on for better balance, from my experience with this dozer it can get light in the rear if backing up an incline{even a small one}. I do have a dump trailer and may be using it soon. The problem I'm running into{besides water} now is rocks/boulders. Infact where the excavator is parked there is a boulder next to it, From what I can tell it is allmost the same size as the mini ex.

#%#$@#%*&%$!@$^ If I didn't have bad luck lately I wouldn't have any luck at all. The pond was going along slowly but smooth, rocks/boulders are a real joy, plus I've hit water. I had pushed a bunch of slop over{with dozer} to where my big excavator was parked so I could pull it out of the pond. I was finishing my last scoop full, when I heard a bang, and oil went flying every where. I'm quessing the old beast{hein werner} just had enough, I'll have to take a closer look during day light, I have a feelin it's not going to be good .

I dug my pond 14 years ago. I always wanted a beach, with sand and all. Since we haven't had ANY rain since June, I've been digging out an area and filling with sand. I've used over 100 tons of sand and it looks like I'll need another 100 tons to finish.

It's raining 30 miles south of me but absolutely nothing here. The national weather service says my place is officially in a "severe drought". I have no lawn, gave up watering it months ago, and even 30' and 40' tall trees are dying. We generally have a great fall full of color. This year our trees just turned brown and the leaves fell off and about half the trees died. I think they said where I am we are at a 50 year drought and no rain in the forecast. I'm glad my pond is 20' deep. The 6' to 8' deep ponds are all dried up and the stench of rotting fish is overpowering.
