4. Koy do very well in our area, I put in 4 when I stocked. They were about 7" long and now are huge. They are very good at keeping the alge at bay.
Just make sure you don't get caught with a bucket full of undersized bass and try to use the excuse that you are just stocking your pond... it probably won't work.
