DANG ! I sure picked the wrong time to have my new (to me) B3000 picked up for service.

The guy I bought it from had not had it serviced for a year, so I figured I should have it serviced.

The local dealer picked it up last Tuesday and will have it for at least a couple of weeks.

I was anticipating our first snowfall so I could make use of my heated cab and front mounted blower.

Guess what? Ya... we are in the process of getting 5"-8" right now and my tractor is in the shop. :.(

Thank goodness I still have my B2150 and will use it to clear this snow. But I am bummed out I don't have my new tractor.

This happened to me earlier this Winter season. Most of my 21.5"YTD snow fell during my tractor's servicing. My truck packed down the accumulating snow until my tractor was delivered. I had to dig myself into the driveway from the road; a first time experience.

It appears this is a common experience for quite a few owner/operators.

Bummer but why would it take "a couple weeks"?Service should be done in one day, poor scheduling on their part.

Tractor dealers have no idea what scheduling means. They just want to get them in their possession before the customer changes his mind of goes somewhere else. Sure, they could say, we cant get to it before xx days and put you in the system for pickup a day before service or later if the shop is still too loaded up to make the schedule, but that would entail some effort on their part. So they just bumble along getting to it when the find that "round tuit". Since they are all alike, going to a different dealer is not going to help. That is one of the reasons that I do my service myself if I can.

".... find that "round tuit"."- GF

That was my experience. Living +30 miles from the dealership did not help scheduling the return. No problem with the pickup

Unfortunately, the local dealer has really gone downhill in the last several years. they don't even have a service "Manager", just a couple of clerks who write service tickets.

I sent my B2150 to them for service this past Summer, and they had it for 8 weeks !!!!! I ended up calling the owner of the dealership to complain, and then I finally got the tractor back in another week.

Apparently they are messed up ( no coordination) with the pickup and delivery portion and the actual servicing portion. They don't seem to jive, or even be close to the same time.

I had called 7 weeks ago to arrange the pickup for service, and then they are backed up doing the actual work at least a couple more weeks.

The entire operation seems to be a confused mess.

I use them again because they have a "free" pickup and delivery for service at this time of the year. Saves me about $100.

They aren't too good on the service work either. They "lost" a couple of mounting pins for my tractor and scraped the paint off the side grill, and got a large amount of excess grease all over the tractor, and did not grease several fittings on the mower.

They are the only dealer close to me. The next closest one charges $250.00 for pick up and delivery.

I know I really ought to start doing my simple service work myself.

We always encourage folks to put their plows and blowers on in early fall to ensure we won’t get snow till late in the year. You are now officially to blame for ALL the snow until your machine returns!!!

Man remind me not to move to AR! My Kubota Dealer here is great. You get the machine when they say you will, and unless there are unforeseen issues, they are very reasonable with turnaround.

Not only that but once you get it back, it will be the end of the snow for the season!

Yup, do it yourself. If you can walk and chew gum at the same time you're good to go. I've saved enough over the years to buy many implements and other things. Service work is not hard and you become one with the tractor. Piece of cake.
