ACTUALLY! Watched about forty minutes of nothing but the General Jumping.

They did NOT use stock footage. Every show destroyed at least one charger. They wrecked 150 in all! They started to experience a shortage and if they would see one parked, would put a note on the windsheild asking to buy it.

Watching all those jumps, make me wonder, in real life, how quickly the Duke Boys would have killed themselves or maybe just been paralized from the neck down.

School was the last place on earth, I cared to be.

Just love the realism in 'Blazing Saddles" when, at the end, the heroes ride off into the sunset.
I liked the toll booth... Lol

People think Steve McQueen wasn't an egotistical womanizer of the highest caliber. To make matters worse, "The Magnificent Seven" wasn't really about him.

It was usually Herb Parsons who shot the coin in mid air for a post-war Western movie or show. btw, Sammy Davis Jr was and is considered by many to have been the 'Fastest gun in Hollywood'. I believe Glenn Ford was one who agreed. See Sammy dazzle young Mark in that 'Rifleman' episode.

Fuel injection. ;) (Know the bit about Spitfire vs ME-109 in a dogfight 'roll'?)

Seems obvious that every jump was filmed from both sides perpendicular, and quartering to and away from cameras. IIRC in an episode, you see each jump in slo-mo from several angles. In another episode those views are often just shown in a different order. The bridge or other launch-pad may vary at lift-off, but the mid-air shots were heavily recycled from show to show, and season to season.
They recycled scenes driving down the road..... We have the DVD set, boys watched it repeatedly.

I like the hilltop airport scene, where you see a budy freeway in the background...

Don稚 leave a car battery directly on a concrete floor.

That was true in the old days due to the metal casings... Now they are plastic and doesn't affect them.

That food tastes better on a never cleaned grill.

Labour day is upon us and I always have to remember Al Bundy's tribute to the holiday and his saying "Ashes from the Past for Burgers of the Future"

Anybody who thinks that must not have mice or squirrels. One night last fall I didn't close the hood after cooking and the next morning found a football sized mouse nest in my grill. Earlier this year I left it open to give the corn which I had just cooked some time to cool. When I went out to get it I caught a glimpse of the north end of a red squirrel, headed south. A few seconds later and I would have lost some of my dinner.

I think that I will continue to clean my grill before using it.
