Wanna Relief from Hot Summer & Humidity Wherever You Go?

I keep seeing ads for these things on the net. They sound too good, and too cheap to be true, so I figure it's a scam. Anyone know anything about these portable AC things?

I have a portable air conditioner but it’s the size of a very large dehumidifier. I use it in my shop and it works well. I can’t imagine these little units doing much other than a cool breeze.

i have one of these [ not this brand-cant remember brand] and it will freeze you out of a small trailer. it works. probably simiilar to what Dodge man has.

First of all, the only ones worth getting have two hoses. One inlet and an outlet. If you are only ejecting air, with a one hose unit, the incomeing air has to come from somewhere and hot air is being sucked into the house elsewhere.

Secondly, these things tend to be VERY noisy as the compressor is in the room with you.

If U refer to the multiple adds for 'personal coolers' I suspect a muffin fan blowing a pot of ice cubes all neatly packaged.
Could be mistaken but it's my impression.

Portable swamp cooler that cool's where humidity is extremly low if it's blowing in your face but worthless most places.

Air conditioning must absorb heat at the evaporator in the living space, then dissipate it outside the space at the condenser.
